This family started off my Saturday in DC on such a high note- hearing the children talk of adventures, ballet, counting in Korean and Star Wars- phew- not to mention the family adventures they have been on- thank you so much for inviting me into your home to meet your family!

We are back from DC- phew- We took the Autism Speaks Fundraiser on the road and I was so fortunate to meet this great family- great doesn't really sum them up, they are fun, happy, amazing, loving, patient, relaxed, go with the flow- thank you Elaine and Joe for allowing me to spend the evening at your home with your kids, Ben, Sam and Ilana- I had a blast and enough from me- here are a few pics. H

Ilana wrote me a letter before I came to visit- this and the next three sections are taken from her letter to me-
"I am 7 years old and I'm in 2nd grade. My teacher's name is Mrs. Kipfer. I got a new 2 wheeler bike. It is bigger than my old my bike. I ride really fast. I like riding my bike. I have a turquoise ipod. I like reading and writing. I can't wait to meet you!

Ilana wants me to tell you about Sam. Sam will be 14 years old on December 10th. He likes playing with his toys. He likes his music ball, the Vtech schoolhouse and he likes playing outside with my dad's basketball. He loves his baby. He's had baby for 10 years. Baby has no eyes, no arms and her clothes are ripped. But he still loves baby. He loves motorcycles and jeeps. Sam likes to chase me around the house. He very giggly.

All 3 kids really like the rodeo. Ben and Sam ride horses. Ben is in high school. He likes girls. He is very mischievious andBen is 15 1/2 years old. He likes watching tv and shopping. Ben also likes to go on long walks sometimes he runs away. Now he has a lifesaver bracelet on his ankle. He likes running around the house and jumping on the bed. We all like the swimming pool. Ben likes going down the big slides.
We also really like Disneyworld, Hershey Park and Myrtle Beach. We have cousins in Colorado and Arizona and here in Maryland.
